अम्ल:

• यह एक आयन या एक अणु है जो हाइड्रोजन आयन यानी प्रोटॉन को दान करने में सक्षम है।

• यह लिटमस के रंग को नीले से लाल रंग में बदल देता है।
• इसका नाम लैटिन शब्द “एसिडस” से आया है। जिसका अर्थ है “खट्टा” और कई अम्लों के खट्टे स्वाद को संदर्भित करता है।
• इसकी पीएच मान सीमा 1 से 7 के बीच है।
• उदाहरण: HCL, H2SO4 आदि

• The valency of Carbon will be 4 as it needs 4 more electrons to get a stable configuration.
