Business Unit / Function: FC-1 (MPP Plant)

Location: Bharuch

Jubilant is currently hiring a Production Chemist for their MPP Plant in Bharuch. The Production Chemist will report to the Shift In Charge and be responsible for ensuring the shift plant operation is in accordance with SOP’s and work instructions.

Key Responsibilities

  • To ensure the shift plant operation as per SOP’s and BPRs.
  • Operating the plant as per the instruction of the shift in-charge.
  • Operation and cleaning of equipment’s used in the process area as per SOPs.
  • To keep plant control room maintained and as control panel in-charge to ensure the start –up and shutdown of all plant equipment’s.
  • To coordinate area section chemist for charging of RM, start-up and shutdown of plant, technical support for smooth running of plant.
  • To ensure and maintain daily filling of online documents (BPR’s, ECR’s and Logbook formats).
  • On line monitoring of the environment conditions in clean area.
  • To maintain online BPRs and GMP/FAMI-QS/FSSC/HACCP/kosher/Halal documents regularly.
  • To maintain 5S and TPM in plant.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to the safety permit system.
  • To maintain safety of man machine and housekeeping in the plant.
  • Collecting all the process samples as per instructions of shift in-charge along with all necessary safety precautions.
  • Loading / unloading of the material from drums, tanks and receiving as per shift in-charge instructions.
  • Report the deviation from the standard practices to shift in-charge immediately.
  • Perform packing, labeling activities as per SOP of FG / SFG.
  • Awareness about responsible care (Environment, Health, Safety and Security).
  • Awareness of ISO Standards (QMS, EMS, OHSAS, FSSC).
  • Awareness of EnMS System & focus on energy saving.
  • In addition to the above jobs, the HOD may assign with any other responsibility as and when required.

Qualification & Experience

  • B.Sc. in Chemistry, M. Sc in chemistry / Diploma in Chemical Engineering
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in API / Pharma Company

Key Competencies (Technical, Functional & Behavioral)

  • Operating knowledge of API/ Pharma process
  • Adherence to quality / Safety norms.
  • Knowledge of DCS based plant operation.
  • Material handling (Toxic / hazardous)
