🧪 Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct hazardous/toxic waste contamination investigations.
- Analyze test results, calibrator performance, and control values.
- Evaluate laboratory workflow and implement corrective actions.
- Provide technical support, investigative assistance, and ensure compliance with policies.
- Participate in technical problem-solving across assigned domains.
🎓 Qualifications
Basic Requirement (any one of the following):
- Degree in physical/life sciences or engineering with:
- 30 semester hours in chemistry
- Mathematics through differential and integral calculus
- 6 semester hours of physics
OR
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
📈 Specialized Experience by Grade Level
- GS-11: 1 year of specialized experience at GS-09 level.
- GS-12 to GS-15: Each level requires 1 year of experience at the next lower grade. Responsibilities become more advanced at each grade, including independent study, method development, and scientific leadership at the GS-15 level.
